Autopay Policy
All students at Pinelands Music Academy signed up for continuous music lessons MUST keep a credit or debit card on file with us. This card will be charged the second week of every month for payment of lessons scheduled for that month. It is the client’s responsibility to inform the teacher or a PMA administrator if the student will be taking fewer or more lessons during any given month. As long as a PMA administrator is informed ahead of the cutoff for cancellations (4 hours before the lesson), any lessons charged for and not received will be credited towards the next month.
Example: Johnny takes a 30 minute guitar lesson every Wednesday at 4:00pm. This upcoming month, Johnny is going to be on vacation with his family during the last week of the month, so he’s not going to be available for every lesson. Since there are 4 Wednesdays in this particular month, Johnny’s parents will be charged $116 sometime during the second week of the month UNLESS they inform a PMA administrator during the first week of the month that Johnny will miss a lesson. Johnny’s parents forgot to let PMA know during the first week of the month, so they are charged $116 even though he isn’t available to take all 4 lessons. However, since they were able to let a PMA administrator know well before the threshold for our cancellation limit(see policy below), the additional $29 will be credited towards the next month, so the next month Johnny’s parents will only be charged $87.
Cancellation Policy
You will be charged for any lessons canceled within 4 hours of the scheduled lesson time, unless that lesson is rescheduled at the teacher’s discretion. If a student is unable to make a lesson, it is the client’s responsibility to let the student’s teacher or a PMA administrator know within 4 hours of the scheduled lesson time, in order to be entitled to a credit or refund. Makeups for missed lessons may take place at the teacher’s discretion. If you know in advance that you will be unavailable for a particular session, let us know during the first week of the month so that you are not charged for that session.
Health and Wellness Policy
Our lesson rooms are small spaces focused on individualized learning where social distancing is not feasible. Any student who comes in with a potentially contagious illness such as a cold, flu, or COVID-19 puts the health of our teachers and staff at risk. For this reason, if a student arrives at a lesson displaying signs of illness (coughing, sneezing, runny nose, nausea, chills, etc.) and the teacher has a legitimate concern that the student may be contagious, the teacher reserves the right to cancel that lesson, and the client will not be entitled to a credit. Please, if you or your child is displaying signs of a contagious illness, err on the side of caution and work with your teacher or a PMA administrator to reschedule your lesson or cancel in accordance with the terms of our Cancellation Policy.
